M.J Shardlow & Co Ltd started back in 1965, selling stationery to local businesses. The business grew and expanded into one of the leading packaging suppliers in the South Island. A family owned and run business with a combined experience of 70 years in the industry. We pride ourselves in offering our customers great service and extensive product knowledge.

We don’t have high minimum purchase quantities and we sell to the public, no matter how small.

With our knowledge and expertise we can provide you with the best packaging solutions for your needs.

We have an extensive range of packaging, tapes & adhesives, cleaning products, cafeteria supplies and retail packaging but if we don’t have it, we’ll source it. We will go to great lengths to source specific products or alternatives for our customers.

We have our own full time drivers so we can provide a faster and more personal service. Delivery is free in the Christchurch area. We do freight orders all over the country.

Staff Profile

Mike Shardlow – Managing Director – Originally from Sheffield, England. Started the business in 1965. Represented Canterbury in Soccer and Cricket and is now a keen golfer.

Mike has run the company for over 45 years.

Nadia Marinelli – Company Manager – Has been working in the business since her school years. After completing a University Degree she stepped into the business to manage it full time. She is a very keen cyclist, having competed in most races in the South Island and teaming up with Thule to come 5th in the 2009 Coast to Coast.
